GUIDES- The Association for Fostering, Kinship & Adoption (AFKA) Scotland
The Association for Fostering, Kinship & Adoption (AFKA) Scotland has published a set of good practice guides to help promote and safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people moving into permanent family arrangements, including kinship care, foster care, and adoption. Commissioned by the Scottish Government, the guides cover areas such as contact, supporting birth families, and supporting families providing permanent care. They are primarily intended for social workers and members of adoption and permanence panels, but will also be valuable for any practitioners involved in supporting children to live permanently with kinship carers, foster carers, or adoptive parents.
