REPORT- Child Mortality in Temporary Accommodation Report

New data reveals that at least 104 children have died with Temporary Accommodation indicated as a contributing factor to their vulnerability, ill-health, or death since March 2025.

The APPG for Households in Temporary Accommodation is able to announce updated data from the National Child Mortality Database, indicating a rise in child deaths between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2025. This new data includes stillbirths and neonatal deaths, from MBRRACE-UK (Mothers and Babies: Reducing Risk through Audits and Confidential Enquiries).
